Protect Your Pets From Pests

Ticks, fleas and mosquitoes are pesky pests that can ruin a warm-weather day for both people and their pets. Fortunately there is something you could do to protect them from these insects – applying sunscreen daily will help keep skin protected against harmful UV rays which cause cancerous cells to form on our bodies as well entice more bugs onto us than we would like!

Ticks

Ticks are pesky pests that pose a number of health threats. They can transmit serious diseases such as Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis and anaplasmosis among others which may not show signs immediately after being bitten but instead develop into more severe symptoms later on in life if left untreated or improperly treated by your vet without early detection through testing at its earliest possible convenience (and this usually means right away!). Tick-bite victims need to be aware how dangerous these creatures really ARE so make sure you’re monitoring them closely – spotting any unusual behaviors like lameness’s before it becomes too late!

Inspection of your dog and cat upon returning indoors is critical. If you find a tick attached, do not remove it with slow steady pulls as this may leave the mouth parts in place which can cause disease! Use forceps or tweezers instead to grab behind their heads where they are fastened onto skin – making sure those pesky nails don’t get stuck too deep while doing so.. Once removed flush down toilet quickly afterwards because if usually these little creatures won’t die even after being squashed. Keep your lawn healthy by keeping it cut low around fences, sheds and other difficult-to-cut locations. If you have weeds or woodpiles in these areas they should be removed so as not to create a new habitat for ticks which can carry diseases like Lyme disease! Make sure that pets also get preventative treatments because according the NPMA only 35% of people surveyed ensure their pet has this type protection against pesky little insects.”

Fleas

If your pet has fleas, it will most likely be due to contact with other animals or spending time outdoors. Pets can experience itching from these pesky parasites and some pets may have more severe reactions such as hair loss, inflammation secondary skin infections caused by their saliva which also facilitates tapeworms jumping onto you in homes while hidden among the fur of family members’ beloved companions! The problem is this: because these little critters are able jump very high (perhaps higher than 4ft.), they’re easily capable hitchhiking rides inside our houses when riding atop someone else’s head–and before long there will be a serious infestation here.

There are a variety of preventative measures that you can take to keep your pet healthy and safe. Bathing them regularly is one good practice, as well as frequently washing human bedding or anything they touch with soap-based cleaners like dish detergent for example; it will help remove any germs before disinfecting the surface area again in order make sure nothing spreads around inside our homes! You should also vacuum carpets every week along side cleaning up all furniture on those types of surfaces so there’s no chance whatsoever that bacteria could grow without being promptly removed beforehand via regular vacuuming sessions.

Mosquitoes

The pesky mosquito is one of the most common summer pests. They breed in stagnant water and have an extremely fast life cycle, allowing for quick population growth! Mosquito larvae hatch within just days to weeks after emerging from their eggs – which are typically laid near dawn or dusk when temperatures aren’t too high (around 75 degrees). A full adult develops between 10-14 working days based on this information; not including any time needed for feeding etc. Mosquito bites can be dangerous for our pets too! That’s because just like humans, animals are at risk of contracting severe illnesses from these pesky insects. In addition to West Nile virus and heartworm disease (which is more likely a concern than cats), dogs each year become disabled or die due problems caused by this terrible ailment known as “heart worm.” While it isn’t fatal in all cases – particularly if diagnosed early on-the results could still include weight loss, blindness, seizures, difficulty breathing, coughing, and spasms.

Keeping your home free of standing water and other sources that mosquitoes can breed in is a great way to prevent the population from growing. Mosquitoes need only about ½ inch worth, so it’s important for homeowners like you who have these items around their property remove them if possible or at least keep an eye on how much rainfall has occurred recently because this will impact what kind of breeding sites there are inside certain structures such as flower pots with drain holes near doorways where rainwater may accumulate during heavy storms
If birdbaths/ponds don’t appear regularly then look into installing fountains & drips systems which ensure fresh. Eliminate all breeding sites for mosquitoes and other biting insects by repairing even the smallest tear or hole in screens, cleaning clogged gutters regularly so water flows freely; minimize outside activity between dusk-dawn when most people are not active (mosquitoes love blood); make sure your pet has access only indoors especially at night since they can be bitten too! Ask vet about bug repellent if needed because some animals might have an allergic reaction from certain chemicals used on our clothing but it could save you both time & money. The presence of mosquitoes on your property can be a major nuisance. When you’re looking for ways to get rid them, consider contacting an experienced pest management company or local district that has experience with these types problems in order treat directly where needed—especially around trees and shrubs where they hide during the day!
